BANANA HAIR MASK

To give more life to dry hair, learn this tip. This recipe is fast and easy to prepare using ingredients that you will probably have at home. Mash a ripe banana, add a spoonful of lime or lemon juice and another of sunflower oil. Mix well and put the mask on dry hair. Leave to work for 30 minutes and rinse well. Then wash your hair as normal. The result is moisturized, silky and shiny hair.

FOR STRAIGHT, SHINY LONG HAIR WITH VOLUME

Wash your hair as normal, not forgetting the conditioner to protect it from the heat of the hairdryer. Whether your hair is cut straight or in layers, this is how to straighten it:

1. Dry your hair well with a towel until there are no more drips of water. Put a little specialist volumizing mousse on a straight brush and use it to brush your hair to distribute the product well. Always do this from the root to the tip of the hair. Thanks to the foam, your hair will be shiny and static-free.

2. Make a parting where you usually wear it and start to dry your hair, pulling it with a round brush. You should position the flow of air from the top to the bottom to prevent split ends. Position the brush underneath the first section of hair, lifting the roots, and slide it down gently towards the tips.

3. Using a hair straightener, work on each section. If you want more volume, scrunch the layers underneath and only straighten the layers on the top.

long-hairCOMBATTING DRY HAIR

To combat very dry hair, just mix two egg yolks with a spoonful of rum and another of castor oil. Apply the mixture before washing your hair.

DEALING WITH HAIR DYE STAINS ON YOUR SKIN

Avoid staining your skin when dying your hair by applying Vaseline or moisturizing cream around the hairline and the ears. If your skin still becomes stained, remove stains with a cotton pad soaked in a mixture of shampoo and 90º alcohol.

GREASY HAIR

Fed up with having greasy hair? Just add a little lemon juice to the final rinse when you wash your hair. Another way of controlling excess grease from the inside is by consuming brewer’s yeast.

HOMEMADE MASK FOR SHINY HAIR

For shiny hair, apply a mask of wheat germ oil. Apply to the hair and wrap your head in transparent film. Leave overnight and in the morning, wash your hair as normal. In the final rinse, add a splash of apple vinegar. Your hair will be soft and shiny.

HOMEMADE MASK TO GIVE YOUR HAIR SHINE

It is easy to make a mask to give shine to your hair, above all if it is fragile and porous: mix a couple of spoonfuls or olive oil with an egg yolk, a little rum, and a teaspoon of flour. Beat the mix together, apply to dry hair, and leave on for a while. It is important to wash the hair thoroughly with shampoo afterwards and rinse well.

HOW TO GIVE YOURSELF A SHIATSU SCALP MASSAGE

For healthy hair, give yourself a shiatsu massage whilst washing your hair. Follow these steps: 1. Using the tips of your fingers, make circular movements on the scalp. 2. Put your hands on the crown of your head and draw them down towards the base of the neck using circular movements. 3. Put one hand at the front of your head and the other at the back and, moving both hands, massage using circular movements. Press firmly in this area for 10 seconds.

LOOKING AFTER CURLY HAIR IN SUMMER

If you have curly hair and find it hard to style in summer, try this tip. Put four parts of water and one of hair conditioner into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto your hair if you are going to the pool or the beach and see how your curls stay looking good.

LOOKING AFTER DYED HAIR

The best way to keep dyed hair looking good is to apply a mixture of almond oil with cinnamon essence and a few drops of lemon when washing and rinse off. Your dyed hair will be more moisturized and revitalized.

MAKE YOUR OWN HAIR CONDITIONER

If you run out of hair conditioner, just use olive oil, an excellent home remedy with softening and detangling properties. Specialist hairstylists recommend you apply slightly warm olive oil to dry hair before washing. After washing, massage the scalp thoroughly. Do not repeat more than once a week as it could make your hair greasy.

NATURALLY SHINY HAIR

For naturally shiny hair, put dry nettle leaves in a bottle or jar and cover them with wine or apple vinegar. Store in a dark place for 15 days, and shake the bottle every day so that it mixes well. Then strain the mixture, put the vinegar into a clean bottle, and leave for another two weeks. The vinegar contains acetic acid that helps extract and preserve the essential ingredients of the herbs. The nettles have astringent properties and improve the circulation of the blood in the scalp. Add a few drops of this vinegar to the final rinse when you wash your hair.

NO MORE TANGLES!

For hair that is fine and tangles easily, just apply your normal conditioner after shampooing. Then wrap your hair in aluminum foil for 20 minutes. After the time is up, rinse your hair with warm water. Your hair will be smooth, soft and tangle-free. We highly recommend you try this tip!

PARSLEY ANTI-DANDRUFF LOTION

To combat dandruff, make a parsley lotion: boil 100 grams of dried parsley or 50 grams of fresh parsley in one liter of water and leave to cool. Apply to freshly washed hair while it is still wet. Massage the scalp for a few minutes, and do not rinse. Dry your hair as normal.

SHINY HAIR

To make your hair shine, just use cold water in the final rinse. This tip is simple, but effective!

SHINY HAIR WITH RED HIGHLIGHTS

If you want shiny hair with red highlights, take note of this tip, which consists of making an infusion of red tea and applying to the hair during the final rinse. It really works!

STOP HAIR LOSS

To stop hair loss, wash your hair with water in which watercress has been boiled for quite some time. You can also try rubbing a little sea salt into the scalp before each wash, and then carefully brushing the hair.

STRENGTHEN YOUR HAIR WITH BURDOCK ROOT

To strengthen your hair, use burdock root. Applying this plant enriches the hair and promotes hair growth. The day before washing your hair, soak 100 grams of dry burdock root in a pan with five liters of cold water. Then boil the infusion for five minutes. Use half of the infusion and a herbal shampoo to wash your hair, and use the other half to rinse it. Use plenty of clean water for the final rinse. Burdock root can be bought from the herbalists.

WELL-DEFINED CURLS

If you want beautiful, well-defined curls, apply egg white (beaten to the consistency of hair mousse) to wet hair, then dry with a hairdryer. You’ll be surprised how well this works! The egg white washes out easily using shampoo.
