For reddened, rough or dry hands, our tip is to first wash your hands well with neutral soap. Then make a mixture of an oily hand cream and sugar. Mix well and apply to your hands. Massage in well and wash your hands with warm water. Your hands will be much smoother.
The most effective way of curing dry, cracked hands consists of applying the following homemade lotion. Put a small cup of oatmeal in a bowl, add half a liter of boiling water and cover for 12 hours. Then strain the infusion, discarding the oatmeal, and add four spoonfuls of cider vinegar to the liquid.
If you work with your hands and they don’t look too great, last thing at night massage a few drops of olive oil into your skin and nails. If you can, put on a pair of cotton gloves afterwards and sleep in them. You will really notice the difference the next day. If you want to regain the smooth skin of your youth, heat up some milk and add the juice of half a lemon. Put your hands into the mixture for ten minutes then rinse off and feel how smooth they are.
Brightly colored nail polish looks great but it is very difficult to remove it all. In addition, it ends up dying the keratin in your nails a dark color that is very difficult to get rid of. A good solution: dissolve two denture cleaning tablets in a glass of water, moisten a paintbrush in the solution and “paint” your nails with the brush until they are totally clean. Then rinse your hands in warm water.
