Alexander's, located in the heart of downtown Scranton, first opened its doors in 1995. Our name was chosen in honor of the owner's late father. An 800 square-foot space on Linden Street was our first location, and offered hair services along with minimal spa services. Alexander's moved just two years later to a larger building on Spruce Street, which quickly filled with spa amenities and a devoted clientele. Due to the emerging popularity of spa services and a strong need for even more room, Alexander's moved in 2001 to its present location: the Gordon Building at 431 Lackawanna Avenue. In 2006, we began expanding and renovating the historical building. Alexander's existing salon services, as well as additional salon services, are now located on the second floor. Additional spa treatment rooms, a large retail store and a separate men's spa will occupy the first floor. The expansion, encompassing more than 18,000 square feet and three levels, will be completed by spring 2008. Alexander's, currently staffing over 60 people, is proud to offer outstanding spa treatments, as well as a variety of designer hair services for both men and women. Our team of professionals is trained to the highest international and technical standards of performance.
