In today’s busy world, a good home-cooked meal is hard to come by-especially at home. That’s why Larry and Mike, two restaurant cabelleros and native Texans, decided there was a need for a comfortable place that served traditional Texas cooking and hospitality. So in the fall of 1989, they opened the first Cotton Patch Cafe in a remodeled, 3, 000 square-foot pizza joint that never made a dime on North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.
