Formed in 1963, The Downtown Club was originally located on the top floor of the T.W. Patterson Building, before moving to the renovated Fresno Republican Printery Building in 1982. Once strictly a members-only club, the Downtown Club is now open to the public for private catered events. A Time - Honored Tradition of Service. Menu selections, prepared by the Executive Chef and his culinary staff, feature the freshest Valley produce and are varied weekly to reflect the changing seasons. The Downtown Club's professional staff is available to anticipate your every need and meet your every expectation. The Club. The attitude and ambience of The Downtown Club create a lasting impression not easily duplicated. The Downtown Club seats up to 200 guests for served or buffet style wedding receptions with a DJ and Dance Floor. On-site ceremonies may be had for weddings under 100 guests, with a reception to follow on the main floor. The Downtown Club's full bar is available to all wedding guests, with a beautiful stained glass partition separating the lounge area from the main floor. Additional side rooms are available as well to suit your needs; a bride's room, kids' room, or enclosure for the gift table are all possible at The Downtown Club. Chef Rick and his highly skilled staff offer a creative variety of both traditional and innovative cuisine. Our standard menus may be viewed here on the website, with a full range of appetizers, salads, main courses, and desserts. The wide range of choices available at The Downtown Club focuses on Local and Organic options, and over 90% of its menu is created in house, from scratch. Several vegetarian dishes are listed on our menus, and we will be happy to prepare a favorite family recipe, design an ethnic food theme, or create a specialized menu for a particular occasion.
