The Cordas House of Music was opened in 1969 on Pennington Road by Lou Cordas. Lou attended Hofstra University where he became an expert in string instrument design and reconstruction. He is also a graduate from the Julliard School of Music. In December of 2004, entrepreneur Neil Bhaskar purchased the House of Music from Lou in an effort to modernize the business. Neil is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and is a recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the State of New Jersey.
