The purpose of MultimediaPiano.com is to promote Multimedia Piano Studio and to assist in training piano students by integrating technology with standard music curriculum. The real impetus for this site was what has been percieved as a genuine need for enriching private piano instruction with systematic multimedia music programs. This writer feels that the majority of piano students simpy do no respond well to educational mediocrity. Through this site, we intend to help facilitate change. We believe that piano instruction should accomodate diverse learning styles and employ a variety of methods including the use of computer-based games and drill. Learning to play piano should be an engaging, multi-faceted experience. As today's learners are equally aurally and visually motivated, we feel that it is incumbent upon us as teachers to embrace the technology that captures attention, inspires creativity, and results in a productive musical life. So, we analyze and utilize highly effective computer programs and online resources in conjunction with the more traditional approach in order to cover all of the educational bases. From theory to technique to ear training, sight reading, and rhythm development, we aim to prepare our students to become successful musicians. Simply put, we foster musicality and creativity!
