Jazz violin hero Samuel " SavoirFaire " Williams has been performing international venues since age 5 . Upon meeting and performing with the likes of Jazz phenoms Wynton Marsalis , Milt Jackson , Kenny Burrell , and Roy Hargrove , Samuel was inspired to change his musical focus from Classical to Jazz improvisation . Since then he has redefined what it means to be a Jazz violinist by pioneering new musical vocabulary in the idiom . He has recieved critical acclaim internationally for his latest album " Running Out Of Time "( Delmark 562 ) and continues to perform with his group The Savoirfaire Quartet . Heralded for his virtuosity Samuel was inducted into the Chicago Chapter of Jazz's elite Organization the AACM . In recognition for his continuing contributions to his art form Samuel was personally invited to play an extra role as principal Violinist with his string quartet " Renasent Strings " in the movie "Proof " ( 05 ) with Gwenyth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins a first in the history of american film making . Samuel continues to trail blaze as a composer , producer and arranger breaking down industry barriers by integrating contemporary Jazz with other forms of music such as Hip Hop , Rock , and World Music .
