Every florist tells you something different...take it from us! Your orchid is grown in super-absorbent moss and is potted in a plastic container surrounded by floral foam inside the ceramic. The moss and foam hold water for a long time, minimal watering is needed. We recommend 2 tablespoons of water each week over the lava pebbles, at the base of the plant. It's important to keep the roots evenly moist - not wet. You can gently swizzle a pencil or chopstick down through the lava to the roots, pull it out and feel the tip.
