With a garage for a workshop and a $5,000 investment, The Wood Carte was initially launched in 1982 by brothers Lindsay, Kelly and Chris Carte. Although The Wood Carte has continued to evolve, the ultimate goal remains the same today as it was in the very beginning - unequaled selection and consistent value in real wood home furnishings. In the beginning the Cartes built and stained every item that filled their modest showroom. Back then orders were taken, built and finished very quickly - usually within a few days.
