The Occasions established in 1977. Originally constructed as a smithies shop in 1834, the building has been utilized by many different businesses over the last 160 years. An extensive renovation was completed in 1992 just prior to the move of the Occasions from Rockaway Town square Mall. The Occasions new home is now located in historic Rockaway Borough and is only a stones throw from the scenic Rockaway River and one of many crossings of the Morris Canal.
