In addition to maintaining a busy private practice he is also clinical associate professor in surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr. Carter graduated with honors from Amherst College in Massachusetts, where, in addition he captained both the cross country and track teams in his senior year. Dr. Carter comes from a long tradition of physicians and surgeons dating back to the early 19th century. Two of his great grandfathers were pioneers in early surgical technique.
