The Beadle Residences are located on a beautiful, quiet, tree-lined street in the heart of Chicago's historic Hyde Park community, just four short blocks from President Barack Obama`;s home. The Residences, which are available for both short and long term rental, consist of new one and two bedroom suites with the comforts and modern conveniences of a luxury home, including private entrances, fully equipped designer kitchens and baths, washer/dryers, free high-speed wireless internet and complimentary off-street parking. The suites are bright and open and tastefully furnished in an understated, but elegant style. All the suites have access to expansive decks or balconies with outdoor furniture for guests to sit outside and enjoy our beautiful Hyde Park neighborhood. Hyde Park, which is home to the University of Chicago Schools and Medical Center as well as several prominent museums, is a culturally rich, vibrant and diverse urban community located just seven miles from downtown Chicago. This unusual city neighborhood, with its winding, tree-lined streets and world-class vintage architecture, is only a mile square yet retains a special importance for its eccentricities as much as its vision. In addition to being on the list of the National Register of Historic Places, it has been home to a remarkable number of notable people in addition to President Obama, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Carl Sandburg, Saul Bellow, Clarence Darrow, Milton Friedman and scores of University of Chicago Nobel Laureates. The Beadle is the smart alternative to a traditional hotel or inn for your lodging needs in Chicago` whether you are visiting for business or vacationing with your family, whether you are staying for a few days or a few months. The Beadle Residences were completely renovated in 2007. The one and two bedroom luxury suites are elegantly appointed with hardwood floors and designer kitchens and baths. Each suite contains many of the comforts of home, including washer/dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, coffee makers, flat-screen TV/DVD combos, wireless internet and off-street parking. Although food service is not offered at The Beadle, our suites have full kitchens that are stocked with a selection of cooking and eating utensils for guests to prepare their own meals.
