Welcome to DolceSalinas.com; showcasing the jewelry and creations of Michelangelo Stanchi. I am currently located in beautiful Santa Fe, NM. I moved here in 1995 from Italy to expand my exposure to the International Art market. I specialize in collectible jewelry, custom design and wedding sets. I work with Platinum, high karat Gold and Sterling Silver. My home is Valenza, Italy. The capitol of fine Italian jewelry. I come from two very well established jeweler families in Italy. My mother’s father, Oreste Staurino’s business was importing fine gems from around the world. My father’s father, Francesco Stanchi was a highly respected designer specializing in gold during the early 1900’s. My Grandfather Stanchi’s reputation as a fine goldsmith was legendary in our village. I grew up with stories from the village elders about my grandfather’s beautiful jewelry. The women would show me their wedding sets that were made for them when they were young brides. I felt the importance that my grandfather’s jewelry had in the lives of the villagers as they told me their stories. The symbolism and history that the jewelry represented to the villagers made an important impression on me as a young man.
