Richies Pawn Shop has been in business since 1990. It is owned by Richie Montalbano and David Levitt. It is located at 5227 north state road 7 in city of Tamarac. Richies Pawn is operated by Richie and manager Mike Ryan who both have extensive knowledge in the pawn industry. Richie has been in the pawn business for almost 20 years in the Fort Lauderdale area and is well known in the area. He started working at Peoples Pawn Shop in 1984 as a trainee and worked his way up to manager. In 1990 Richie, David and their wives Diane & Kathy decided to open their own pawn shop, and Richies Pawn shop was born. Richies dream was to create a Pawn Shop that people could trust and feel comfortable in. He made sure that people who pawned their merchandise were paid the highest possible amount and that people who were buying out of pawn merchandise felt that they were paying less than they would anywhere else. He felt that too many Pawn Shops sold their goods for almost as much as regular retail stores. In no time Richies Pawn Shop became known as one of the best places in town to shop for out of pawn new and used merchandise. As well as a place where people could borrow money on almost anything of value or sell old, broken or unwanted jewelry and merchandise for cash.
