How We Came to Work Together, Sell People the Fabulous Jewelry they Crave and Deserve, and Have Tons of Fun at the Same Time. In the beginning. It all started many years ago in 1981 when Mary was visiting Provincetown on vacation. On her last night in town she wandered into Ruby's former jewelry store, where the boisterous saleswoman soon sold Mary her first piece of serious jewelry - a 14kt gold tri-color herringbone necklace. The whole encounter made quite an impression on both women. The rest, as they say, is history. The meeting was fated and Mary DeRocco and Ruby Druss opened Ruby's Provincetown Fine Jewelry in 1990. For the third year in a row, Ruby's has been voted a Top 50 retailer of designer jewelry by the prestigious trade organization JCK. We love Sara's use of an ancient Japanese mixed-metal technique to create contemporary textured necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
