Located at 1212 Raymond Blvd, So Excessive, which is named for Williams`s love of accessories, specializes in unique costume jewelry, including a selection of rings, necklaces and earrings. "My friends would say I was` excessive`with my jewelry," Williams said. "When they had on one bracelet, I had on five." Now, with the opening of So Excessive, Williams is taking a business fifteen years in the making one step further. "I have cultivated this business seriously for five years now," Williams said. "I have done trunk shows and parties. I am not just running a business, I am creating a brand. I thought it was time for me to have a physical hole." With its 350-square-feet and proximity to the Rutgers University campus, Williams hopes to attract many visitors to her store. What makes So Excessive different from other jewelry boutiques is that Williams handpicks all of the jewelry she sells. "I spend a lot of time picking out the pieces," said Williams. "I pick them out with the customer in mind. And if a customer happens to want something that I don`t have, I try my hardest to get it for them." In addition, the pieces are affordable. "Everyone wants to look nice, to look beautiful, at an inexpensive price," says Williams. "The pieces exude and bring out confidence. It`s all about bringing passion to the customer and caring for them." "I want to be the go-to business," says Williams. "Anything is possible if you are determined. My motto in life is that if you want something just close your eyes and jump."
