Aimee and Ed Hood are a husband and wife photography team. We photograph together as much as possible, and sometimes separately as needed. Aimee began telling beautiful, artistic wedding stories, families, babies, and anything and everything through her lens over 13 years ago! Having a passion for photography since she was 12, she pursued her passion through college, workshops, and many photographic conventions and schools. Aimee has also begun teaching and sharing with other photographers across the state of California. Aimee is a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America, the most reputable photographic organization that rigourously tests and credentials professionals. Aimee had to pass a written exam as well as pass rigorous judging on her images. To maintain her credential, she continues to study and attend seminars with some of the greatest photographer's and teachers of today, Yervant, Joe Buissink, Cliff Mautner, Bambi Cantrell, The Salees, Jennifer Hudson, Sandy Puc, Mitche Graff, Kevin Kubota, and many, many more!!! On a national level, Less than 3 percent of all photographer's hold this prestigious degree! In California alone there are less than 100 photographer's who are certified and Aimee is one of them! In Shasta County, Aimee is the only female photographer in the area to receive her credential within the last 5 years! Aimee's journey in her career has also taken her down the path of competition, and she has won numerous awards for her photography. You can see a list of those under the "Awards" page.
