Hello! My name is Karen Rudeen. I am originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, and have resided in Ashland, Wisconsin since 2002. At a very young age, photography became my passion. After graduating from UWS in 2007, photography also became my profession, and I couldn't be happier! I opened my studio in Ashland on the beautiful property of "Freehands Farm", owned and operated by my sister, Michelle. Photography is such a captivating medium to me. It allows a moment to be captured in time, therefore permitting that moment to be shared for generations to come. Our world is beautiful and I believe even the simplest of moments contain beauty. Using both film and digital, I strive to record life. Whether it be the big events (the emotion of a wedding day, the birth of a child), or the smaller moments we may miss from time to time (lupins in bloom, a winter sunset), every moment that passes holds its own unique beauty!
