Originally from Washington State, Amber graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with a double major in Advertising and Commercial Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. Immediately following her formal education, Amber spent the next year in New York City working with the renowned photographer, Mary Ellen Mark. There, in addition to the editorial work done with Mary Ellen, she continued refining her skills in documentary, architectural, and fine art photography. Returning to the west coast, Amber opened A Medley Photography, specializing in documentary weddings, architecture, and portrait photography. Amber's goal in all of her photography is to capture a moment, not to create one. During event photography, Amber has the ability of melting into the background and remaining unobtrusive.
