Celia Naples established Celia Naples Photography in 1984. The Fort Worth native began her career in professional photography in 1979, as an apprentice to a photojournalist and commercial photographer in Newmarket, England. Returning to the U.S., Ms. Naples worked as a freelance photographer and photojournalist for the next five years, creating many award-winning images. Her work appeared in national, state and local publications. Ms. Naples expanded into wedding and portrait photography in 1984, opening Celia Naples Photography on the square in Lockhart, Texas. In 1990 she and her husband, James, relocated to DeSoto, where he was the public information officer for the Superconducting Super Collider. For the next twelve years, she continued a part-time career in freelance photography, working exclusively on location throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area while taking time out to rear three children. Ms. Naples and her family now make their home in Highland Village. Her diverse background enables Celia Naples to bring a fresh approach to portrait and wedding photography, creating classic images with a trend-setting style to last a lifetime.
