Engineer & Photographer. Dave is a registered civil engineer and has worked on many construction and engineering projects in southern California. He received his BS in civil engineering from Colorado State University and studied photography at CSU and Orange Coast College. Engineering, construction management, and photography have all continued to combine into a diverse career. Currently, he provides photography for engineering and construction firms, in addition to providing engineering oversight for various programs. He also provides editorial, stock, and assignment photography for different southern California publications, agencies, and corporations. The website was named Vesper Light as the evening hour is the prime window of natural light that Dave likes to work in. Photography has lately become much more than just the process of recording images. Just to keep up with the changes of the digital world, photographers as well as everyone in publishing and printing need to also become proficient with hi-tech cameras/output, scanners, computers and handheld devices, printing processes, storage networks, etc. Also as part of the changing landscape, these professionals also need to be experienced in a host of software applications, various file types and resolutions for different uses, internet and security issues, encryption, etc. as digital imaging, online media, and printing tie themselves to all of these now.
