My name is Penny Shaut. I have been a passionate portrait photographer for over seven years. I truely enjoy capturing people's personalities and the special moments in their lives. I love taking pictures and you can tell that when I'm recording your moment. This isn't a job...this is fun. My most recent accomplishment is becoming a mother, which has made my passion so much stronger. My daughter has given me a tremendous drive to improve my skills and try new things. Plus, right now she is the best little model. I specialize in wedding, infants, children, teen, engagement and family portraiture but can do much more. I have been shooting weddings and events for years so I have a pretty good idea of what shots you want recorded and what is coming next. I always try to work right along with DJ's and event coordinators to ensure that everything is running smoothly. I also always try to be upbeat and friendly which makes me very easy to work with. I know that having portraits taken can be very stressful. Now, as a new mom I understand this more than anyone. Getting everyone fed, dressed, out the door, and ON TIME can be one of the most nerve-racking tasks for a mom to do. This is why it is a lot easier for me to come to you for your portraits instead of going to one of those fast paced store brand studios. Capturing the spirit of you, your children or your family doesn't happen in cramped studio spaces, forcing cheese smiles, using unnatural props or shuffling you in and out in fifteen minutes or less. I approach photography differently. I stick to locations where you and your family feel the most comfortable and at ease, whether it be inside or outside of your home or at a favorite park. I don't set a clock and call a session done after I've clicked my camera twenty times.
