When are you open? We are open by appointment Monday-Friday. Hours vary by day but are typically 9-5. Saturdays are reserved for our wedding clients and we keep Sundays for family. What should we wear for family portraits? I get this question a lot. Wear whatever suits your families personality. Sure, we can do the khaki and white or blue jean and white, but what does that say about your family? Wear whatever style clothes people would recognize you in and make the images personal to you. Or khaki and white, whatever you like. Just try not to have to many different patterns. We want you to be the subject of the images, not your clothes. When will we see the images from our portrait session? Unless it is close to a holiday, you will schedule your ordering session (included free) for about a week after the shoot. Anyone that needs to help select images will need to be able to come to this session. Also, it may be helpful to leave small children at home with someone so you won't be distracted. The ordering session typically lasts an hour to an hour and a half. Where can we go for portraits? This one is easy...anywhere you would like. Sure, some locations will have a travel fee, but it is a modest one. Most local areas are included free of charge. We can go to local parks, downtown areas (rural or urban), the Arboretum, your home, or just stay here at the studio where we can do indoor and outdoor portraits. It is up to you. (Locations with more than a 4 hour round trip not only incur travel expenses, but lodging.) I would like to set up a wedding or portrait consultation, can we meet somewhere? Sure, right here at the studio. We do all of our consultations here so you can take a look at the example albums and prints on our walls.
