Anchor Taxi was formed 3 years ago mainly out of necessity. With the downturn of South Strand, the loss of exclusivity of MBIA, and continually increasing fees, many of the lease operators decide to form a new company. That new company is Anchor Taxi. We structured the company in such a way as to get maximum upkeep on equipment and drivers at the most economical investment possible. Each owner manages their own vans and people, so Anchor Taxi’s main responsibility is dispatching. We work very hard at keeping the office sanitized. Dispatching is the main element that makes a company successful. Our company has not company cars. Everyone is a lease car. No one has an economic advantage. The owners are diverse and come from all walks of life.
