Gown Gallery Celebrates 20th Anniversary! It`s been an exciting 20 years and still counting! And now The Gown Gallery is embarking on the next 20 years of making dreams come true for many more beautiful brides. Here`s an overview of our eventful history: In 1990 Sharon Miller started her home-based gown business. In 1994 the first location opened in the Waldo District of Kansas City. In 1996 The Gown Gallery name was adopted and bridal gowns and accessories were added to the inventory. In 2002 a second Waldo store, The Gown Gallery Bridal Loft, opened. In 2007 a devastating fire in February destroyed The Gown Gallery Bridal Loft and several other businesses. Even as the fire was still raging, we were feverishly calling suppliers to make sure all every bride still received her gown on time. he Gown Gallery Rises From the Ashes. In 2007, just four months after losing nearly everything, the Gown Gallery again opened its doors in the Waldo District.  In 2010 The Gown Gallery relocated to 1901 Main Street in the popular Crossroads District in Kansas City, Missouri, and another new location opens in October at 106 West 9th Street in the Historic Garment District.
