The Brass Horn opened for business in Brettwood Village in the Fall of 1990 by it`s founder George Streckfuss. However, this wasn`t George`s first go around in the men`s clothing business, previously working for the men`s specialty chain Bachrach`s, as well as the independent retailer, Peddlers - located in downtown Decatur. George`s experience at Peddlers opened his eyes to the possibility of a potential future location in Downtown Decatur where he eventually moved The Brass Horn to in 1993. This transition continues to justify itself as one of the best decisions George made for the business. The significant presence of professionals located in or near the downtown Decatur area gave the Brass Horn greater exposure to its target audience. What separates the pedestrian from the exceptional is quality and attention to detail, and when you step into the Brass Horn the quality will be apparent the moment you walk through the front door. Carrying some of the most recognized brands in the men`s clothing business isn`t their mission, but a byproduct of scouring the markets for merchandise worthy of some of the finest men`s stores in the country. In today`s casual society a shirt and tie are not always required for events like they once were so looking at your clothing as an investment is more important than ever. With that said, the clothing you choose can set you apart from the casual crowd. Top brands like Hart Schaffner Marx, Jack Victor, and Robert Talbott line the shelves of the tailored clothing department helping you look your best for that interview or wedding - not only tomorrow but for years to come. Tailored Clothing is not all The Brass Horn offers, they have a vast array of unique sportswear to suit many different tastes. More traditional lines like Peter Millar, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama, and Scott Barber are sure to satisfy more conservative men while fashion forward lines like Robert Graham, Rufus, Thomas Dean, and Jake Agave are available for a more aggressive clientele. No matter what category you fall into The Brass Horn has quality merchandise that will last beyond this season`s trend. Difference. In a society dominated by casual dress and mall shopping, The Brass Horn is a throwback to a more sophisticated time when people cared about the way they looked and specialty stores were the only places you could shop for men`s apparel. The combination of quality merchandise, exceptional service, and the years of knowledge that the sales staff brings to the table, allows The Brass Horn to differentiate itself into a category of its own. George, Ryan, and Jay each care about their current and potential clients and have a vested interest in assuring that they leave looking and feeling great. Caring about their client`s individual needs and making sure they get exactly what they want is the difference between The Brass Horn and the competition. If you want to feel comfortable, look great and leave confident- than stop by The Brass Horn for your next shopping experience. Tuxedo Rentals. The Brass Horn is proud to be affiliated with two of the foremost names in the formal wear business, Jim`;s Formal Wear and Nedrebo`s Formal Wear. These two great companies are sure to carry the right look for your wedding, prom, or special occasion.
