Wedding hair and makeup trials

Perfecting your hair and make-up

A month or two before the wedding, when you have all your accessories such as veil, tiara or headpiece, organize a hair and make-up trial..

Visit your hair stylist to discuss and practice creating your wedding hairstyle, and have your make-up done on the same day to give you an idea of the overall look. Talk through your requirements with both vendors to decide on the perfect bridal look for you.

The hair trial also gives you the chance to see how long your hair will take to style on the day of your wedding, as you do not want to run out of time.

Decide whether you want to have your hair colored before the wedding, and book an appointment for a cut and color or a trim two weeks before the big day.

Your bridal portrait

It is a good idea to have your bridal portrait taken on the same day as your hair and make-up trials, so book a session at a nearby photographic studio.

It does not necessarily have to be the same photographer as your wedding photographer, but is obviously preferable as it helps build up a rapport and gives you a taster of how he or she works.

Sit back, relax, and let your hairstylist and make-up artist show you just how beautiful you are going to look on your wedding day!
