Wedding invitations, cards and stationery

You need to find a good stationer or printer who can provide all the invitations, save the date and RSVP cards in the style and color you will require for your wedding.

Although you do not need to send out the invitations until a few weeks before the wedding, you may get a special deal if you buy everything at the beginning of the wedding planning process in the same color scheme from the same company.

A good printing company or stationer can also print your table plans, place name cards, and wedding programs, as well as items like napkins, coasters, and wedding cake boxes.

Try to stick to similar colors and styles as your invitations to give a coordinated look to your wedding stationery.

Print out your menu cards, readings, place name cards and wedding programs as soon as the details are finalized. We recommend two months before, as the details are unlikely to change.

It is not necessary to get these done professionally at the stationer’s or printer’s if you are on a budget. You can easily create these items on your computer using free templates that can be downloaded from the Internet, or ask a computer savvy friend to help out.

Do make sure you use good quality paper, cardstock, and envelopes.
