Princess Caroline of Monaco

Princess Caroline Louise Marguerite was born in the Princes Palace, Monaco, on January 23, 1957. She is the oldest daughter of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace.

The bride wore a collarless dress with long, sheer sleeves and a full-length skirt with lace scalloped edges. The gown was designed by Christian Dior.

Princess Caroline did not wear a tiara, instead chosing ringlets white flowers that formed a crown around her ears and merged with her veil.

Some six hundred guests, including Hollywood actors Frank Sinatra and Gregory Peck, attended the wedding of Grace Kelly's eldest daughter.

The couple had no children and the marriage ended in divorce.

For her second marriage to Stefano Casiraghi, Princess Caroline wore a gold-coloured wrap dress with long sleeves, and a gold-coloured ribbon around her head.

Princess Caroline and Stefano had three children, two boys and one girl:

Andrea Albert Pierre Casiraghi was born on June 9, 1984, Charlotte Marie Pomeline Casiraghi was born on August 3, 1986 and Pierre Rainier Stefano Casiraghi was born on September 5, 1987.

Stefano was killed in a boat race in October 1990.

The marriage of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Prince Ernst August of Hanover - January 23, 1999

In January 1999 Princess Caroline married His Royal Highness Prince Ernst of Hanover in a private ceremony in the Princes Palace, Monaco.

The Princess was celebrating her 42nd birthday on her wedding day.

She wore a two piece, light blue suit with a double row of gold buttons down the front of the jacket; she had previously worn the suit to royal engagements.

The couple's daughter Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Hanover was born on July 20, 1999.
