Top designers: Junko Yoshioka

junko-yoshiokaJunko Yoshioka, the youngest of 3 girls, was raised in Japan and named after the month in which she was born: June.

From an early age Junko (pronounced June-Co) loved to sketch and draw. This childhood pastime developed into a lifelong passion for design and fashion.

While studying fashion in Japan’s top design school, Modo Gakuen, Junko won the prestigious award for “Best Wedding Gown”. This propelled Junko to dive deeper into the world of eveningwear and bridal gowns. Her unique use of materials and inventive design sense was widely recognized and she was recruited by some of Italy’s top fashion houses to create her “neo-classic” RTW looks for the European market.

Ms. Yoshioka’s special designs have graced the pages of InStyle Weddings, Martha Stewart Weddings, Town & Country Weddings, WWD, Vogue, New York, Brides, Inside Weddings, Elegant Bride and many other fashion publications.

Hollywood has taken notice, too! Junko has dressed Jessica Alba, Katherine Heigl, Anna Paquin, Helen Hunt, Jaime Pressly, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Aisha Tyler, Ali Landry and Claire Forlani…

Junko's evening gowns have graced the red carpets of the Grammy’s, Emmy’s, Oscar’s and Tony’s.

Junko lives in New York with her husband and daughter.
