Fashion and attire for the bridal party

Wedding fashion for the bridal party: bridesmaids, attendants, flower girls, mother of the bride...

Choosing the outfits for your attendants can be a daunting task as you may have a range of ages, sizes, and personalities to take into account, as well as different hair colors and skin tones. There is no fixed rule that says that all the bridesmaids have to wear the same color dress, but it is a good idea that the color and style of the dresses complement each other, as well as coordinating well with your bridal gown and flowers.

Take a look at our articles on choosing bridesmaids' dresses and on deciding on the color for their dresses. And see our gallery of bridesmaid dress designers for inspiration.

The mother of the bride and to a slightly lesser extent the mother of the groom are the most important women at the wedding after the bride so their outfits and accessories should reflect this. There is a huge choice of trouser or skirt suits, cocktail dresses or full-length evening gowns available for the mothers of the bride and groom, taking into account the woman's tastes and style.

Many mothers wear an impressive hat or fascinator to further distinguish their status within the bridal party.
