Fashion for the mother of the bride

mother-of-the-brideThe mother of the bride and to a slightly lesser extent the mother of the groom are the most important women at the wedding after the bride so their outfits and accessories should reflect this status.

The wedding day of your beloved daughter or son is a wonderful opportunity to dress up to the nines and wear the outfit you have always dreamed of, without overshadowing the bride, of course! There is a huge choice of trouser or skirt suits, cocktail dresses or full-length evening gowns available for the mothers of the bride and groom.

When choosing your outfit, it is important to take into account the type of wedding that is being planned and the time of day, as well as your own personal taste and style. The bride may ask you to choose a certain color scheme to complement the chosen wedding colors and/or theme.

The mother of the bride often wears a hat on her daughter’s big day, but some mothers are not comfortable with wearing hats and instead choose feather and fabric flower fascinators as a way to set them apart from the other guests.
